One-on-One Treatment
I am a believer in short-term therapy (6-12 fifty minute sessions). Once you have the coping tools to address your current presenting problem, you need to implement them "in vivo". It is akin to an acting class: you cannot make a career out of scene work; you need to get on with the business of show business and see how you function in the real world. There are exceptions, of course (i.e. eating disorders), where the symptomatic behaviors have to be addressed before the distorted thinking can be amended. In either scenario, this is a collaborative effort--I do not have all the answers, as they ultimately emanate from you.
